Our History
At Dean’s Certified Welding, Inc., we’ve been serving the pipeline industry since 1973, with more than 50 years of experience in the installation, fit-up, and welding of large-diameter pipe. Our company was founded by Mike Dean, whose welding career began in 1969 in a small fabrication shop performing field work for local farmers. After several years gaining hands-on experience, Mike purchased his own equipment and continued delivering reliable field pipe welding before officially starting Dean’s Certified Welding. We began by serving local agricultural clients and operating a welding shop in Carlsbad, California, then steadily grew into larger water and industrial pipeline projects. In the early 1990s, we became a licensed California general contractor as Dean’s Engineering, DBA Dean’s Certified Welding, Inc. Today, we specialize in pipeline welding and related inspection and testing services, bringing decades of proven expertise, quality craftsmanship, and a strong commitment to safety to every project we take on across the U.S. and Canada.
