Project Description– The project consists of rehabilitation of approximately 13,800 linear feet of existing large
diameter pipe, removing existing cement mortar lining, applying polyurethane lining inside a 12-foot diameter steel pipeline, repair damages on previously applied polyurethane lining at multiple locations, remove previously applied epoxy and polyurethane lining and replace with new polyurethane lining, transporting and installing large-diameter Metropolitan furnished welded steel pipe, excavating access portals and removing portions of existing pipe for pipeline access, grouting the annular space, adding new outlets, disinfecting the pipeline, restoring work sites, controlling traffic, abating hazardous materials containing asbestos, and other appurtenant work as specified and shown on the drawings.
Our Role – Fit up and weld (44) 136” x 5/8” full circumferential lap welds, (15) 136” x 5/8” Butt-Straps, manholes, reducers and grout ports. We were also involved in the demo/removal of the existing pipe for access.
